Ants And A Cylinder

Two ants start at the same point at the base of a cylindrical can with height 8 and circumference 12 cm.  Both ants walk at the same constant speed and take the shortest possible paths. 

Ant A makes two complete laps around the base of the can

Ant B goes to the point at the top of the can opposite of the starting point, and then back to the starting point.

Which ant finishes first or do they finish at the same time?
